The Michelin Guide's Opinion
The city's fine arts museum, occupying the former Abbaye St Denis, displays art collections from the Renaissance to the present day. The rooms on the ground floor are dedicated to the decorative arts. On the first floor, the collection includes paintings in small format from the 16C, as well as religious scenes and private portraits. The following rooms are dedicated to French paintings from the 17C onwards, including a particularly impressive collection from the 19C. Another area of the museum is devoted to stained glass, displaying pieces from the 20C and 21C.
