The Michelin Guide's review
The main street's most characteristic houses have tall façades and multicoloured pediments, adorned with stuccowork and pink-marble door or window frames. As one can see from the castle, pediments do not conceal a flat roof but the broken line of a furrowed roof, called Grabendach. This division of the roof provided better protection against fire than the gabled roof and did away with guttering and the resulting quarrels between neighbours!
