The Michelin Guide's review
The Gothic Church of St Virgil (1473), abutting the castle hillock, boasts a striking pink-marble façade. Inside, its twin naves, separated by four columns with capitals of Antique inspiration, served to separate the worshippers, with the bourgeois on one side and the miners on the other. Rich statuary, delicate stuccowork adorning the vault and elegant frescoes make up the striking Baroque finery, executed by top artists of the region.
