The Michelin Guide's review
The circular layout of this abbey church is inspired by the plans of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Built in the 11C, it was rebuilt (with the exception of the apse and crypt) in 1862, when its bell tower collapsed. The apse is an extremely fine example of Romanesque art. You will also notice the stone Renaissance altarpiece, abutting the façade. The first crypt (19C) contains a moving Entombment (1500); the old crypt boasts remarkable capitals and two 15C tombs with recumbent figures.
