The Michelin Guide's review
Since 1979 this museum has occupied the former site of the small house belonging to the order's benefactor, Madame de la Peltrie, who devoted her life to the education of women and the promotion of social cohesion. Each aspect of the boarder's lives is documented (arrival, education, acquisition of knowledge, art and music) by moving testimonials and assorted artefacts. The museum is also home to one of the oldest textile collections of North America.
