The Michelin Guide's review
This Neoclassical structure (1847) replaced the first archbishop's residence, erected in the late 17C in Montmorency Park. As part of Lord Dufferin's beautification projects in the late 19C, a false front was erected towards the Côte de la Montagne, thus making the building visible from the St. Lawrence River. The original façade of the large edifice dominates the main courtyard, leading to the old seminary.
