Path of los Colores

The Michelin Guide's review
The path leading up the Hill of Colours, a hike to embark upon in the early morning or late in the day for the low-angled lights, perfectly sums up La Quebrada de Humahuaca's geological diversity. The colourful hills along the path, littered by heavy blocks with unusual-looking reliefs, give away the composition of the ground and the wealth of ores it contains. As you return towards Purmamarca, you come across a few adobe farmhouses standing in small potato and cornfields. Life goes on peacefully.
