The Michelin Guide's review
Ferdinand I and his son Ferdinand of Tyrol turned the woods of the Brevnov Monastery into hunting grounds. In 1556 they built a villa there, known as Letohrádek hvezda after its unusual star layout. Its interior is equally original: a central dodecagonal room surrounded by oval rooms, all decorated with stuccowork showing scenes from Antiquity. Nowadays the villa houses a small exhibition dedicated to its history, and interesting temporary exhibitions of the Museum of Czech Literature.
