The Michelin Guide's review
This superb statue by Ladislav Saloun, evoking the honesty and courage of the famous reformer Jan Hus, stands in the centre of Old Town Square. Hus is shown surrounded by faithful Czechs forced into exile for having listened to his sermons in the church of Bethlehem. It took Ladislav Saloun twelve years to finish the work, which was inaugurated on 6 July 1915 for the 500th anniversary of the death of Jan Hus.
