The Michelin Guide's review
Dating from the early 12C, the tiny Holy Cross Chapel is one of the city's three remaining Romanesque domes. At the foot of the castle, today a little lost amid the modern buildings and with no particular charm, it remains a fascinating testimony to Prague's historic beginnings. Its conical roof is crowned with a lantern, its circular walls carry the vestiges of 14C paintings, and the 19C grilles, a model of harmonious integration, are by Josef Mánes.
