The Michelin Guide's review
The original town, which grew up around the Camber, was once entirely enclosed by ramparts; today only those on the harbour side are complete, forming a pleasant promenade with views of Gosport and Spithead. At the end of Broad Street, there is a fine panoramic view of the harbour traffic from the Point. Note two fine towers: the Round Tower and the Square Tower, dating from the late 15C and modified on several occasions.
