The Michelin Guide's review
The setting of tranquil hillsides planted with holm oaks and vines remains unchanged, as does the view. Unfortunately, Prince Demidoff, son-in-law of Jerome Bonaparte, built a neo-Classical style palace below the modest house that was once Napoleon's summer residence, the interior decoration of which has been recreated. The building now houses the original Galatea by Canova. From the terrace, there are fine views of the bay of Portoferraio, while the garden is shaded by beautiful trees.
