Description

This Baroque church built between 1735 and 1748 by the architect Nasoni, dominates the busy street of the same name. It is looked down on by a tower, over 75m high, Porto's most well-known monument, which used to serve as a guide for the ships. From the top there is a panoramic view extending over the city, the cathedral, the Douro and the wine stores.
