Cité Frugès-Le Corbusier
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Commissioned by Bordeaux industrialist Henri Frugès, this garden city designed by Le Corbusier (1887-1965) allowed the architect to put into practice his theories on town planning, collective living and standardised housing. Of the 127 blocks originally planned, 50 were built and now enjoy protected status. Open to the public, the Maison Frugès-Le Corbusier hosts temporary exhibitions dedicated to architecture and town planning.
