Description

This museum exhibits pre-Roman and Roman pieces found in the excavations at Velleia in the Parma region. It is home to the tabula alimentaria, a giant slab of bronze bearing the engravings of measures taken in 103 by Emperor Trajan relating to the establishment of a hypothecary fund (alimenta) for poor children.
