Parc de Belleville
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The Passage Jean-Lacroix is the main thoroughfare through this garden covering an area of 4ha on the slopes of the Belleville hill. The differences in ground level have been used to create a tiered garden, along with cascades and waterfalls. Rocks, to the right, are a reminder of the former gypsum quarries here, while the vineyard on the corner of rue du Transvaal is evidence of the hill's wine production in former times.
