These were mythical venues: La Boule Noire dance hall (no 120), where Mistinguett, among others, performed, and the Élysée-Montmartre dance hall (no 72), which enjoyed its heyday in the 1880s, with La Goulue, star of the French cancan. The dance halls may be no more, but La Cigale, the Élysée-Montmartre and the Trianon (n° 80) still regularly stage rock concerts and variety shows.
