Palais de la porte Dorée
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
One of the striking features of the palace built for the Colonial Exhibition of 1931, a fine example of Art deco, is its façade adorned with a bas-relief by Alfred Janniot. Just after the entrance, look out for the frescoes of the palace's huge former ballroom. Today the palace is home to a tropical aquarium and the Museum of the History of Immigration that charts immigration in France since the late 19C, be it political, economic, related to war or decolonisation.
