The Michelin Guide's review
In 1860, Napoleon III ceded Vincennes, with the exception of the castle and military grounds, to Paris so that it would become a landscaped park. Alphand turned the wood into a park and Haussmann created Gravelle Lake. A racecourse for trotters was also created. The largest park in Paris (995ha) is also home to three other lakes and countless leisure activities, such as flower gardens and a zoo. Ideal to relax and enjoy the greenery!
