The Michelin Guide's review
Built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, the Grand Palais' highlight is its huge glass dome crowning the main hall which accentuates its metal structure and the spacious nave below, which is empty and hosts major temporary exhibitions. The Queen's Rotunda is a space devoted to receptions, while the Salon d'Honneur, opened in 2012, hosts exhibitions, receptions and even shows. The 5 000m2 of national galleries are used for theme-based exhibitions.
