Quai de la Mégisserie
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This busy thoroughfare is lined with shops selling plants, exotic birds and fish, and pets, as well as second-hand booksellers. It owes its name to the tanners who prepared hides for making gloves in the Middle Ages. Fabulous views over the Palais de Justice, the Conciergerie, the old houses along the Quai de l'Horloge (accessed via the Pont au Change), and the Pont-Neuf.
