Beaubourg and Les Halles
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Les Halles used to be the 'belly of Paris'. Nowadays it is the city's wardrobe and its largest shopping centre, thanks to the newly renovated Forum des Halles. Situated right next to the Pompidou Centre (housing the National Museum of Modern Art), Les Halles and Beaubourg combine to form a lively and contrasting district where historical streets and beautiful old churches, including the massive Saint-Eustache, rub shoulders with modern art, gargoyles and second-hand clothes shops.
