Aker Brygge is one of the liveliest places in the Norwegian capital. The waterfront has been completely taken over by café terraces which fill up with customers at the first sign of sunshine. Huge commercial art galleries have moved into the superbly restored warehouses here. Theatres, cinemas, cafés and restaurants draw in a constant flow of people and the quays teem with activity until late into the night.
