The Michelin Guide's review
St Philbert Church is built over the former Church of Our Lady (7C) of the Benedictine monastery of the same name. Beneath the choir there is a fine 11C crypt on the site of an early Merovingian chapel. It contains the tomb of St Philbert, whose sarcophagus was moved to Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu during the Norman invasions.
