The Michelin Guide's review
The picturesque Kanman-ga-fuchi walking trail starts at Stone Park. On a long track shaded by trees, you head up the bed of the Daiya River, known here as Kanman-ga-Fuchi Abyss, due to the geological phenomenon formed by lava from Mt Nantai. After 500m you come to a magnificent row of Jizō, different-sized stone statues of bodhisattva, in a variety of postures. At the far end, cross Dainichi Bridge to the other bank, then go back in the direction you came, via the botanical garden and Tamozawa Imperial Villa.
