The Michelin Guide's review
This enchanting and peaceful island with its exceptionally mild climate lies in the Wadden Sea. The second largest of the North Frisian Islands, it is characterised by large, green zones of silt deposits and undulating areas of moraine, full of pretty villages with thatched cottages. Visit Wyk, a charming little port and the island's main town, where the Frisian Museum provides information on the region's history. The Church of St Nicholas is also worth a visit.
