The Michelin Guide's review
The Museum of the Moving Image recalls the golden era of New York movies: silent movies, Rudolph Valentino and the Marx Brothers. It was the heyday of the Astoria Studios, before the latter were abandoned in favor of the West Coast and then returned to active service in the 1970s to produce blockbuster TV series and shows. Cameras, TV sets, costumes and wigs bring cries of delight and nostalgia and the Behind the Screen exhibition is a hit with young and old alike!
