The Michelin Guide's review
This Beaux-Arts masterpiece by Carrère & Hastings is home to one of the largest libraries in the world. Two marble lions flank the exterior grand staircase, which leads to a stunning six-storey atrium with a reading room and a study room. The library's book collection is the second largest in the country, after that of the Congress Library in Washington.
