The Michelin Guide's review
The gallery is housed on the upper floor of the monastery of the Hieronymites (the Girolamini), whose the patron saint is St Jerome. It showcases a fine collection of 16C to 18C paintings from the Neapolitan, Roman and Florentine Schools, including pieces by Luca Giordano, José de Ribera, Guido Reni and Francesco Solimena. In the convent, look out for the library and its splendid 18C hall.
