The Michelin Guide's review
Standing alone at 475m/1,558ft above sea level, the church of Saint Michele stands majestically on a plateau that overlooks the basin of the Bevinco. It was built around 1280, at the end of the Pisan Romanesque period in Corsica. Renowned for its distinctive colourful decor and carved ornamentation, the building's exceptional harmony is enhanced by the surrounding untamed, mountain landscape.
