In the pleasant Rebberg neighbourhood, Mulhouse's zoo and botanical park is home to almost 1,200 animals from 70 species who live in 25ha. Its aims include the preservation, breeding and development of scientific knowledge of rare and endangered species, including Asian gibbons, Madagascar lemurs, Siberian tigers and Prince Alfred stags. The park also boasts a substantial botanical collection and some magnificent trees.
