The Michelin Guide's review
The unspoilt Nicoya Peninsula is well worth a visit. It has very few tarmac roads running across its savannahs and prairies, and instead you will see cattle grazing. The land runs down to superb beaches such as those at Montezuma and Sámara. Scattered along the coastline are beautiful reserves such as Cabo Blanco and the Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Curú.
