The Michelin Guide's review
This park was built to replace the 98acre-site polluted by the discharge of heavy metals by the local chemical factory. The latter, found guilty in the 1990s, has since made reparations and participated in costly decontamination operations. Thousands of tons of earth were brought here to build a path by the water's edge, an orchard, a rose garden and sporting facilities. Visitors can once again appreciate the panoramic view of the islands. A solitary memorial commemorates this past tragedy.
