The Michelin Guide's review
Built between 1932 and 1935 based on plans by the Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi, this villa, once owned by the Necchi sisters, heiresses of the Necchi sewing machine firm, boasts Rationalist architecture and an Art Deco interior, and provides an insight into the lifestyle of a wealthy, cultivated Milanese family. The exterior shows no hint of the simple, modern style of this tasteful property, which boasted a heated pool and tennis court. Inside, a dumbwaiter and a lift stand alongside lavish furniture and an extensive collection of art.
