Built between the late 15C and 18C, this large church with a Baroque façade has a spacious and light interior decorated with paintings produced in different periods on the same theme: the Passion of Christ. Note the beautiful painting of The Last Supper by Gaudenzio Ferrari. The chapterhouse is decorated with superb frescoes by Bergognone (15C). The adjacent Santa Maria della Passione monastery is home to the prestigious Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi.
