Neanderthal Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The famous skeleton, around 60 000 years old, of Neanderthal man was tucked away in a cave, since destroyed, in the steep valley of the Düssel. A plaque on a triangular rock marks where he was discovered. The Neanderthal Museum focuses on the evolution of humanity and presents the life of prehistoric humans. Thanks to modern techniques it has been possible to faithfully render what our ancestors looked like.
