The Michelin Guide's review
In addition to Jean Armour's bedroom upstairs, the museum's exhibits include books, letters, documents and a few personal mementoes; on the ground floor is a display of folk art, with exhibits from Mauchline in the 19C and Cumnock pottery. The house next door (closed to the public) was once the home of Dr Mackenzie, who wrote a letter of introduction for Burns to Henry Mackenzie, the Editor-in-Chief of The Lounger, an Edinburgh newspaper.
