The Michelin Guide's review
This museum showcases the wreck of a Carthaginian ship from the 3C BC, brought up from the sea bottom near Mozia in 1971. It is probably a liburna, a very fast 35m-long warship thought to have sunk during the battle of the Egadi in 241 BC. You can learn about early construction techniques and see the nails which show no sign of rust after 2000 years underwater.
