Description

At the crossroads of Portela pass (662m above sea-level), make your way up to the belvedere. It dominates the green valley of Machico. Several hiking paths leave Portela pass, such as the PR 10 which skirts the levada do Furado to arrive at the Ribeiro Frio in 5hr (experienced hikers).
