The Michelin Guide's review
Facing the town hall, the opera house sports a Neoclassical façade topped by eight muses that seem to support the huge semi-cylindrical glass vault by Jean Nouvel. Inside, the Rococo foyer is still intact and houses an amphitheatre, an Italianate auditorium that seats 1,300 spectators, and a glass-roofed panoramic bar. At nightfall, the reddish lights accentuate the contrasts of the building.
