Established in one of the oldest Benedictine abbeys of Lyon, that of the Dames de Saint-Pierre, the Fine Arts Museum of Lyon is one of the finest of France. Its collections span an exceptional panorama of international art, with special mention for local artists. The permanent holdings are divided into five sections: painting, sculpture, antiquities, objets d'art and medals.
