The Michelin Guide's review
Erected by Simon Maupin, this large rectangle of buildings surrounds a main courtyard which has two levels separated by a hemicycle portico. The façade looks onto Terreaux square, which was renovated in 1674 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart and Robert de Cotte who crowned the side pavilions and the belfry with a large dome. In the centre the tympanum supported by atlantes is endowed with a mounted statue of Henry IV.
