This 600m-long auction hall is best seen in the morning when the freshly unloaded fish is sold according to a tradition which is impossible for an outsider to understand. There is a "Sea Station" with a loading bay for lorries heading to destinations all over France, an ice factory producing a cool 200 tons-a-day, and 1,850m of docks, enabling the port to remain open for business all year round.
