The Michelin Guide's review
The first church was erected on the site of the martyrdom of Saint Alfege, Archbishop of Canterbury. Henry VIII was christened here. The present church (1714) is the work of Hawksmoor. Inside is a bay, 22m by 30m, with no pillars.
