The Michelin Guide's review
Waterloo International Terminal, the new "gateway to Europe", was designed by Nicholas Grimshaw as a simple and functional hangar, comprising five platforms and acting as the terminal for high-speed Eurostar trains. The space is crowned with a glass canopy, the panels of which fold into each other, like the bellows of an accordion. In autumn 2007, Eurostar relocated from Waterloo to another terminus: St Pancras station in north London.
