The Michelin Guide's Opinion
At the point where the River Thames embarks on a long loop from Tower Bridge, past Greenwich and towards the Thames Barrier, the scenery changes radically. The most striking aspect is undoubtedly Canary Wharf which dwarfs other sites of interest. It is best approached by light railway, which gives the impression of arriving in a futurist city and reveals the extent of the redevelopment of Docklands, emblematic of the wider regeneration of the eastern part of London.
