The Michelin Guide's review
Built in 1815 and used as a furnished hostel from 1860 to 1934, this house has been furnished following the descriptions in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous books. Watson's room plunges visitors into the atmosphere of the Victorian period, while Sherlock Holmes' study houses a collection of objects associated with the famous detective, as well as old copies of The Times.
