Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The construction of the cathedral (1933-1967) was stalled by the Second World War and changes of architect. The circular concrete building, the lantern tower of which rises to a height of 85m, places the main altar in the centre of the structure. In the crypt, the huge brick vaults by Lutyens divide the space. A 6t rolling marble disc marks the entrance to the Chapel of Relics.
