This neighbourhood garden created in the middle of the Romantic period is one of the most peaceful and pleasant in Lisbon, with its numerous exotic trees, animals waddling about (geese, cygnets, ducks etc), fountains and man-made caves. The garden also has children's playgrounds, a small library and a shady refreshments stall at the edge of the basin.
