The Michelin Guide's review
Situated on the Puy St Étienne, which dominates Vienne, la Cité is the oldest quarter in Limoges. It is home to the Cathédrale St Étienne and two of the city's most important museums: the Musée des Beaux Arts and Musée National Adrien Dubouché. Until the late 19C, driftwood destined for the porcelain kilns was dispatched to the Port du Naveix, replaced nowadays by gardens. Despite the massive destructions of the 1960-1970s, la Cité's picturesque little streets remain intact.
